Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Miami

Outpatient rehab at our Miami facility helps you manage your addiction while keeping up with work, home and school. It’s time to focus on your recovery.

Outpatient Rehab in South Florida

Our outpatient drug and alcohol rehab program involves scheduled visits with our addiction treatment providers, including doctors, therapists, and social workers, at our Miami office. These appointments can be tailored to fit your schedule. While outpatient rehab offers cost savings and greater flexibility, clients bear the sole responsibility for their sobriety when they are not in sessions.

Is outpatient treatment right for me?

Outpatient rehab might be the right option if the following apply to you:

  • I’ve finished inpatient rehab and want to keep going with my care
  • I have a mild substance use disorder or addiction
  • My loved ones give me a safe, supportive home life
  • I cannot take a break from work, school or family responsibilities

What Does Our Outpatient Rehab Include?

Outpatient drug and alcohol treatment serves as a crucial transition for patients after inpatient rehab or as the initial level of care for people with milder addictions.

In outpatient rehab, you’ll have individual sessions with your counselor to address the underlying causes of your addiction. Your group therapy sessions will provide opportunities to build fellowship and support.  With the flexibility to balance work, school, or family commitments, you will receive top-notch medical care on your schedule.

This place was very well ran. It did not feel like a jail. I have been to one other facility 7 years ago and it was terrible. Recovery Village of Palm Beach was great! Personally, I chose it for the gym. It is available from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm as long as you are not in group meetings. Jimmy is awesome and plans the outdoor activities. Several projector large screen movies a month out back with popcorn machine, lots of sweet treats and nachos. Friday night dinners are steak and baked potatoes. The food was very good and well rotated. The head Chef Joe, was a blessing. Chef Adad is a trip and loves his job! The staff and nurses were very accommodating. The techs are all nice. I had one bad experience with an “elderly” tech. She wasn’t professional and seemed cranky at all times. She was only present maybe six times out of the three weeks I was there so it wasn’t a big deal. The people in charge are very approachable and helpful. My therapist was Julie. She is very sweet, very caring and helpful. There is a full time, full blown cleaning staff there seven days a week. I was treated with kindness and respect front the time of admission to the time of release. Marc, the CEO is often there and walks the halls and says hello and will shake your hand. Yes, there are patients there that cause a ruckus but that’s what happens at recoveries. I do believe I got closer to the core of my addiction here. If I would have stayed longer I may have had more answers. I do not plan on recovery again in my life but if I did have to go back due to a relapse, I would choose Recovery Village of Palm Beach again.

Overall my experience with RV was incredibly positive! If you WANT to get a good experience out of your treatment here, you absolutely can and will! Many come in with a negative mindset (clearly, we are detoxing from substances) or not even wishing to really get sober, which will absolutely cloud the experience for themselves. The only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that there seemed to be loose ends left lingering, missed communications (medical/nursing) and a lack of clear line of communication as to who was in charge of what. I asked A LOT of questions to different sources to figure certain things out and felt I was given the run around on a couple of occasions. There is a new site CEO, so hopefully he will be able to help rectify some of these communication issues. Any treatment center is going to have a lot of moving parts and constant rotation of clients, so I do appreciate that it is difficult to keep everyone in the loop at all times. If you’re not afraid to advocate for yourself and you really want to get sober, then I definitely would recommend The Recovery Village! SO many amazing staff members with huge hearts for what they do 🫶🏼

This review is pretainin' to my dining experience.Chef Joe is an outstanding chef! The food he provides is always fresh and truly second to none.I am on a special diet so some things I cannot eat. Joe makes it a point to go out of his way to make sure I am provided food that fits under the umbrella of things I can eat and I like them. I can't thank him enough. Our times we eat are at 8am, 12pm and 445pm for dinner. You can expect those doors to the dining area to open at said times and not a minute late!Thank you, Chef Joe for all you do!

This place really helped me. I was struggling with opioid addiction. They helped me medically and helped with the mental trauma that I had been carrying for over 25 years. Also just wanted to add that Jo done a EMDR session with me. She was able to guide me through the trauma and I was able to forgive myself and others that hurt me for so long. I am able to testify and say this place saved me and now I am able to live life to the fullest. I also want to say that IOP’s Trish has done a wonderful done along with therapist Tina. Tina does a great job and listens to her patients. Amazing group of IOP Therapist.

About Outpatient Rehab Treatment

Addiction treatment has a wide spectrum of treatment options, with varying levels of intensity. Rehab levels of treatment can range from the highly structured setting of inpatient rehabilitation, the balanced offerings of oversight and autonomy in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, to minimally supervised treatment in ongoing outpatient programs.

Outpatient rehab is designed for people whose needs for oversight and intensive structure are relatively low. Outpatient treatment for drug or alcohol addiction usually involves clients living at home or in sober living housing and commuting to a rehab center during the day for medical and counseling support several times a week.

The decreased need for acute care means that outpatient rehab costs are significantly lower than inpatient or residential treatment. The specific cost of outpatient rehab depends on the services an individual needs. Many insurance plans cover some or all outpatient rehab services. While some people can begin their treatment and recovery journey with outpatient treatment, it’s more common that they begin with inpatient or residential rehab and then move into an outpatient program when they’re ready.

Benefits of Outpatient Rehab

Outpatient treatment offers unique benefits for someone who’s ready for it. If you don’t have stable housing or are not ready to return to aspects of your daily life, you should start in a higher level of care first.

If you are ready for outpatient rehab, benefits include:

  • There’s a high level of flexibility.
  • You may be able to begin working or go back to your job or school.
  • Outpatient rehab is less expensive than inpatient treatment.
  • You won’t have to spend time away from your supportive family and loved ones.
  • You can begin to test the skills you’ve learned for your recovery, but you still have a sense of a safety net.
  • There’s social support through participation in group sessions.
  • Outpatient rehab offers a smoother transition to your long-term recovery than going straight from inpatient care back to your daily life.

Topics Covered in Outpatient Rehab

While everyone’s treatment plan will be tailored to their unique needs, there are often key topics covered in outpatient rehab. Relapse prevention and applying the skills you learned in earlier treatment levels are two of the most common areas covered in outpatient rehab.

A lot of the therapy will also occur in group settings, and it can take on a workshop format. Topics might include:

  • Struggles in early recovery
  • 12-step programs and success
  • Relapse prevention and dealing with cravings
  • Mental health
  • Stress management
  • Family systems
  • Rebuilding relationships
  • Developing healthy habits
  • Returning to school or work
  • Co-occurring disorders
