As a contributor for Advanced Recovery Systems, Renee Deveney is passionate about helping people struggling with substance use disorder. With a family history of addiction, Renee is committed to opening up a proactive dialogue about substance use and mental health.
Renee is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she studied English literature and creative writing. She combines her editorial and copywriting experience to encourage people with stories of recovery, hope and self-love. A Southern girl at heart, she loves wrap-around porches, chicken biscuits and overusing the word “y’all.” When she’s not writing for The Recovery Village, you’ll find Renee dreaming of her next travel destination, painting or catching up on classic films.
